If you’re moving states, here’s guidance on filling out Form 1583:
- Current Address (Section 6): Use the address on your current driver’s license. This form is mainly for granting us permission to accept mail on your behalf, so it doesn’t need to reflect your intended residency. Your current address works just fine.
- Mail Forwarding Address: The address you provide in Section 6 is just a default. You don’t need to update it every time you move. Whenever you request mail forwarding, you’ll have the option to specify a different forwarding address for that particular item.
- Business Information (Section 7): If you’re running a business, you can use your current address. This section simply authorizes us to accept business mail for you; we won’t be using this address to send anything.
After submitting, our team will review your Form 1583 to ensure everything is in order and will let you know if any adjustments are necessary.
